The Rotary Club of Colombo held its first Community Service Committee meeting on 12th August 2026 at the Jubilee Ballroom, Galle Face Hotel.
Led by Community Service Committee Chair PDG Senaka Amarasinghe, along with President Azad Mansoor and Director of Service Projects PP Saravanan Soundarajan. A key highlight was the SALL (Save A Little Life) project update by Rtn. Karunakaran – four children from Ampara, Embilipitiya, Kosgoda, and Mahiyanganaya had undergone successful heart surgeries at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, India. PDG Senaka Amarasinghe was thanked for his generous donation of Rs. 2 million towards the operations of two children.
Over 140 children have been treated through this initiative.
