Rotary Club of Colombo Marks Rotary’s 121st Birthday with a Gift of Healing at CNTH
The Rotary Club of Colombo proudly celebrated Rotary International’s 121st birthday on 23 February 2026 with a meaningful act of service — strengthening emergency healthcare at the Colombo North Teaching Hospital (CNTH) through the Sustainable Sri Lanka Humanitarian Project.
At a special handover ceremony held at CNTH, three state‑of‑the‑art Electric Three‑Function Beds (Model MG 1022)were officially donated to the Accident & Emergency Unit. These advanced beds, equipped with electric actuators, collapsible side rails, medical‑grade mattresses, and battery backup, will significantly enhance patient management and emergency response capacity at one of the country’s busiest hospitals.
This impactful initiative was made possible through the collaboration of Rotary District 3220 (Sri Lanka & Maldives), Rotary District 3300 (Malaysia), the Rotary Club of Colombo, and FOMSO, reflecting the true Rotary spirit of “Unite for Good.”

- PP Magandran Muthiah, Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja, for mobilizing funds in Malaysia through FOMSO and RID 3300.

- District Governor Rtn. Delvin Pereira and Past District Governor Jerome Rajendram, whose presence at the ceremony added inspiration and encouragement.
