President-elect Shanaz Sahabdeen had the privilege of representing Club President Aruna Fernando at the official opening ceremony of a new children’s playground in Kalutara.
Invited by Past District Governor Senaka Amerasinghe, PE Shanaz jointly declared the facility open, marking a deeply proud and humbling moment for our club as her name was featured on the commemorative board. While this impactful community initiative has been ongoing for nearly four year – with approximately 50 playgrounds successfully completed and another 10 in the pipeline—witnessing the project’s real-world impact firsthand beautifully set the stage for the club’s upcoming leadership year.
